Satoshi Nakamoto’s Tell-All Book

The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, pseudonym of the Bitcoin creator, may soon be revealed in a tell-all book whose excerpts appeared on a website dubbed the NakamotoFamilyFoundation.org. The twenty-one-page excerpt was posted on the site which has been said to have been purchased a mere three days before the posting via the domain registrar of Amazon.

The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto

The identity of the Bitcoin creator has never been revealed. However, several people have come forward claiming to be Nakamoto, with each media pointing out a different could be one. Among the people fronted as Satoshi Nakamoto include Dorian Nakamoto, Nick Szabo and Craig Wright, an Australian academic who has continually insisted that he is Nakamoto. He has gone on to say that he will soon prove his legitimacy and went further to say that the new excerpts were fraudulent with the dates and technical details being altogether incorrect.

With all the different theories that have been paraded and the different people that have come forward as Nakamoto, none has been able to neither fully convince the public nor exhaustively prove that indeed they are Satoshi Nakamoto.

As many people in the Crypto community have already pointed out, there is one sure way of determining which among the rest is the real Nakamoto. The true Nakamoto, as the creator of Bitcoin, should be in possession of the keys that control the initial Bitcoins, these Bitcoins have been stagnant for years. Therefore, only the true Satoshi Nakamoto could have the ability to move even just one of these coins from the original wallet to a different one, which would be enough proof that they are who they claim to be.

The Curious Case Of Satoshi Nakamoto

The person who posted the excerpts on the NakamotoFamilyFoundation.org has refused to move any of the coins as proof of his legitimacy or sign anything with the original keys. He or she or they are still adamant to keep his identity secret. However, according to WIRED, he is none of the above-mentioned persons claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

All efforts towards establishing whether or not the excerpts are authentic have come up with the same results as every other past effort of finding the real Nakamoto, they have been unanimously inconclusive.

Contents Of The Excerpt

The excerpt, which has also been called a short story, contains the title of the supposed Nakamoto’s forthcoming book, “Honne and Tatamae,” or “Duality.”

The excerpt also tries to bring forth more identifying details about Nakamoto’s life. It tells of he/she’s mother being an author while the grandmother is said to own a small publishing company. The excerpt says that Nakamoto joined the Cypherpunk community, where anonymity was paramount, as a teenager and later got interested in and started posting about Bitcoin in his early twenties.

It also tells of the reason for the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, it is apparently equivalent to and is the Japanese version of John Smith’. He/she has however also alluded to him not being Japanese.
